Last month I signed up for a 3-month subscription of Petit Vour’s Beauty Box. This monthly shipment of beauty products is guaranteed to be eco-conscious and cruelty-free. I loved my first box, so I was quite excited to get another one at the end of April.
According to their website, Petit Vour’s Beauty Boxes ship out in batches between the 10th-20th of the month. Since I am an “international” subscriber, boxes may take up to 14 days to ship, so I got mine near the end of the month, which is totally fine. Not one to rush into things, I like to take my time using products before I write about them. Well, I’ve had a few weeks to use my new batch of products and here’s what I think of the items…
Phyto-Pigments Last Looks Cream Blush by Juicy Beauty
Rose and purple carrot lend their gorgeous colours to this dewy cream blush that keeps skin hydrated all day.
This product made me want to wear blush more often. However, the application of it was a little, messy? Ok, not messy. I guess I’m just not used to using a creamy blush having used powdered blush in the past. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to use my finger to apply it or it beauty professionals would recommend some type of brush. I opted for my finger and the blush went on well. I really liked how it made my cheeks pop but also looked natural at the same time. It is definitely a step up from powdered blush and I have incorporated it into my beauty routine. I love how light it feels on my skin as well.
Vanish Organic Cleansing Oil by Suntegrity Skincare
Vanish away stubborn mineral sunscreen, makeup and dirt without damaging your skin’s natural protective barrier.
$8 (full size $32)
This product was what made me a little slow in getting out this blog post. I am a little resistant to using oils on my face even though I know facial oils aren’t bad. I suppose I was a little stuck in my cleansing routine and was highly skeptical of this product so I kept putting off using it.
BUT – I can say that I actually quite like it. The little bottle has a spray top so the oil wasn’t messy to handle, and the smell of it is divine (a little orange-y)! I found that it both cleansed and moisturized my face, which was a pleasant surprise.
Pina Colada Lip Polish by Niu Body
Using sugar to exfoliate and rich oils to moisturize, this summery answer to a perfect pout will quickly become the sweetest part of your beauty routine.
This was easily my favourite part of this month’s Beauty Box. This “lip polish” helped relieve my lips, removed dead skin, and tastes absolutely delicious too! I cannot think of any other product that would exfoliate lips and taste so good. I have been tempted to exfoliate my lips daily after receiving this product but will reserve it for when it’s needed. Trust me, it’s that good.
Face Cream Pod by Andalou Naturals
Perfect, glowing skin is yours with this daily moisturizer packed with fruit stem cells and bioactive 8 Berry Complex.
$3.29 (full size $25)
It looks like there were three different type of Face Cream Pods sent out to subscribers. I was sent the “age defying” Resveratrol Q10 Night Repair Cream for my dry skin. The package says it’s a single-use product but I was able to use it over the span of 4 evenings. I was skeptical at first as I always am when trying a new moisturizer. The product was thick and covered my face and neck quite well, and I thoroughly enjoyed the rich dessert-like smell of it. While I cannot say it repaired my skin in just four days, I am highly interested in purchasing a full-size product to see what long-term use will do.
I am looking forward to my next monthly Beauty Box and am thrilled to share my knowledge and experiences with these products with others. I want to wish big CONGRATULATIONS to Petit Vour on FIVE YEARS of business! I am beyond thankful for a company that’s dedicated to spreading the word about cruelty-free beauty products. I am thrilled to be a part of this awesome community!
